Public university · founded 1913 · Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima
Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University traces its history to 1913, when it was founded as a teacher training school -- commonly remembered locally as Krumoon Nonsung -- making it one of the older educational institutions in northeastern Thailand. It progressed through stages as a teachers' college before being conferred full university status as part of Thailand's nationwide Rajabhat University system on 15 June 2004.
The campus sits on Suranarai Road in central Nakhon Ratchasima. As a Rajabhat university, NRRU carries a mission rooted in regional development and teacher education alongside a broader modern range of faculties, and serves as one of the more accessible, locally-oriented public university options for students from Korat and the surrounding province.
