Overview

Central Westgate is a large shopping mall at the Bang Yai intersection in Nonthaburi, on the western edge of greater Bangkok. Developed by Central Pattana (CPN) as its 28th shopping-centre project and opened in August 2015 with a reported investment of roughly THB 10 billion, the complex was built directly alongside IKEA Bang Yai — Thailand's first IKEA store, which had opened nearby in November 2011 and effectively anchors the wider Westgate development. Reported figures put the complex's total gross floor area at around 550,278 sqm, of which IKEA's own store accounts for roughly 50,278 sqm, making Westgate one of the largest retail developments in the greater Bangkok area.
