Public Vocational College · founded 1938 · Mueang Phang Nga
Phang Nga Technical College traces back to 1938, when it opened the following year as a primary-level carpentry vocational school ("โรงเรียนประถมอาชีพช่างไม้"), before being developed and upgraded to full college status on 1 April 1982. It sits at 326 Phetkasem Road, Tha Yang Subdistrict, Mueang Phang Nga District, under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) -- Thailand's longest-running educational institution in the province.
PNTC's departments span Automotive, Machine Shop, Metal Welding, Electrical, Electronics, Construction, Accounting, Marketing, Hospitality, Food and Nutrition, Business Computing, Information Technology and science-based Tourism Innovation, awarding vocational certificate (ปวช.) and higher vocational certificate (ปวส.) qualifications. The college has also begun admitting students to a continuing bachelor's-level program (ทล.บ.) in Electric Vehicle Technology, a limited but genuine step beyond its historically vocational-only scope.
