Public University Campus · founded 1990 · Hua Hin
The Wang Klai Kangwon Campus was founded on 30 May 1990 in Hua Hin, taking its name from the nearby Wang Klai Kangwon Palace, and predates the wider Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin (RMUTR) system, which was formally established in 2005 when Thailand's nine Rajamangala University of Technology institutions were created from the former Rajamangala Institute of Technology campuses.
It is one of RMUTR's four campuses nationwide -- alongside Salaya, Bophitphimuk Chakkrawat and Poh-Chang -- and is known specifically for engineering and industrial-technology programs, giving Hua Hin a genuine engineering-focused university presence alongside Suan Dusit's hospitality and tourism focus.
