Public University · founded 1991 · Mueang Trang
Prince of Songkla University's Trang Campus was established in 1991 in Kuan Pring Subdistrict, Mueang District, Trang Province, extending the wider PSU system's academic reach into Trang at the initiative of former Thai Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai. It is one of five PSU campuses nationwide, alongside the main Hat Yai campus and sites in Pattani, Phuket and Surat Thani.
The Trang Campus concentrates on applied social science, business and the service industry rather than PSU's medical or engineering strengths elsewhere -- its Faculty of Commerce and Management and Faculty of Architecture teach fields spanning tourism management, business administration, marketing, accountancy, e-commerce, information management, political science, insurance and architecture.
