It joins Emporium (1997) and EmQuartier (2015) as the third mall The Mall Group has built in the cluster, reported as a roughly ฿15 billion investment.

The mall spans about 200,000 sqm and is anchored by IKEA Sukhumvit — Thailand's first downtown IKEA and, at over 15,000 sqm on the third floor, billed as the world's largest city-centre IKEA store. Its dining and lifestyle floors are branded Em Market (a Gourmet Market-style supermarket and food hall), TRIBE and Em Wonder.

The top floor houses UOB Live (also known as EM Live), a 6,000-seat arena that opened on 11 February 2024 with a concert by Ed Sheeran, alongside the smaller Sphere Hall event space on level 5 for gatherings of up to 1,000 people.
